FYI, got a look at some of the data and updated the post accordingly. It appears that results were counted only from those who answered every question, so the percentages are accurate (there was one addition/transposition error, in the first bullet). I clarified the number of respondents for each individual answer to make it clear how things broke down.

Fair point, Nic. We can try to get a look at the raw data to see if it provides further context (there is some industry data at the end of the report).

It’s really too bad that the survey writers didn’t indicate basic information about the survey. All those lovely graphics! And yet, so meaningless. The authors state that they asked 757 IT professionals across “multiple” industries about how they felt about BI. If I ask 100 people a bunch of questions, I might get 5 people who answer them. If I asked 757, how many people answered? There is no indication how many respondents, which industries (it could make a big difference in how we read the results!), or standard errors (indicating margin of errors and reliability of results). It’s a fun idea to report this, but, ultimately useless. I’d love to have posted a link, but I won’t attach my credibility something lacking any.
